Criterion 1.4.6 health equipment functions and prevents

 Criterion 1.4.6

The Puskesmas prepares and implements program management to ensure all health equipment functions and prevents unavailability and malfunction of health equipment.

1) Main Thoughts:

a) Medical device management is aimed at:

(1) ensure that all medical devices are available and that maintenance and calibration activities are carried out regularly so that all medical devices function properly;

(2) ensure that individuals who manage medical devices have appropriate qualifications and are competent; And

(3) ensure that operators who operate certain medical devices have been trained according to the required competencies.

b) The use of the Health Facilities, Infrastructure and Equipment Application (ASPAK) by Puskesmas is carried out to ensure compliance with the standards for health facilities, infrastructure and equipment.

c) Data on facilities, infrastructure and health equipment at the Community Health Center must be input into ASPAK and validated by the district/city regional health office to ensure its correctness.

d) So that there are no delays or disruptions in services, medical equipment must be available, functioning well, and ready to be used when needed. The management of medical devices in question includes regular inspection and calibration activities, in accordance with the product guidelines for each medical device.

e) Inspection of medical equipment carried out by officers includes: condition of the equipment, whether there is damage, cleanliness, calibration status and function of the equipment.

f) Calibration is carried out by a competent party in accordance with statutory provisions.

2) Assessment Elements:

a) An inventory of medical devices is carried out in accordance with ASPAK (D).

b) Fulfillment of competency for staff in operating certain medical devices (D, W).

c) Periodic maintenance and calibration of medical equipment is carried out (R,D,O,W).
