Criterion 1.3.5 orientation

Criterion 1.3.5

New employees and transferred employees are required to attend orientation in order to understand and be able to carry out the main duties and responsibilities assigned to them.

1) Main Thoughts:

a) Every new employee and transfer employee, whether positioned as a Puskesmas leader, person in charge of Puskesmas efforts, service coordinator, or activity implementer must attend an orientation.

b) Especially for Community Health Centers that accept students with the aim of doing internships, orientation is carried out in accordance with Community Health Center policies and the curriculum of educational institutions.

c) Orientation is carried out so that new employees and transferred employees understand the duties, roles and responsibilities that will be carried out.

d) The Community Health Center prepares a frame of reference for implementing orientation as a basis for carrying out general orientation and special orientation activities.

e) General orientation activities are carried out to provide an overview of the vision, mission, values, code of ethical behavior, main tasks and functions as well as the organizational structure of the Community Health Center, quality and patient safety programs, as well as infection prevention and control programs. This general orientation activity, which is aimed primarily at new employees, can also be supplemented with explanations of other topics deemed necessary by the Community Health Center.

f) Special orientation activities are focused on orientation at the place of duty which is the responsibility of the employee concerned and specific responsibilities in accordance with the employee's assignment.

g) During this special orientation activity, new employees and transfer employees are also given an explanation regarding what they can and cannot do, how to carry out tasks safely in accordance with the Clinical Practice Guidelines, other care guidelines, and other program guidelines.

2) Assessment Elements:

a) Employee orientation is carried out according to the terms of reference prepared (R,D,W).

b) Evaluation and follow-up are carried out on the implementation of employee orientation (D,W).
