Criterion 1.3.3 the necessary knowledge and skills

Criterion 1.3.3

Every employee gets the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge and skills.

1) Main Thoughts:

a) In an effort to increase the competency of all existing employees, the Community Health Center needs to plan and provide opportunities for all employees at the Community Health Center to increase competency through education and/or training. Apart from that, increasing employee competency can be done by attending workshops, seminars, symposiums and on the job training (OJT), both online and offline.

b) The Community Health Center carries out a competency gap analysis to map the need for increasing employee competency.

c) The results of the competency gap analysis are used as a basis for proposing an increase in employee competency in accordance with applicable regulations.

d) Puskesmas facilitates the fulfillment of employee competencies due to gaps in accordance with the mechanisms that have been established as a form of support from management for all Puskesmas staff.

e) The Community Health Center documents the results of competency improvement in accordance with established procedures.

2) Assessment Elements:

a) Information is available regarding opportunities to improve competency for all staff at the Community Health Center (D).

b) There is support from management for all staff at the Community Health Center to take advantage of these opportunities (R,W).

c) If there are employees who take part in competency enhancement, an evaluation of the implementation of the results of the competency enhancement in the workplace (R, D, W) is carried out.
